You can't erase or change them, because the truth is the events happened whether you want to remember or not. Why do we have to learn about the past, when we live in the present? Well, the answer is simple. George Santaya said, “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” And trust me, you don't want to repeat some of the mistakes that people have made in the past. History can teach us valuable lessons, and ignoring history can lead to world altering disastrous consequences. So, the next time you think that history is boring, remember history is also essential.

He also thought that memes were the best way to educate and persuade people, as they appealed to both reason and emotion, and could convey complex and abstract ideas in a simple and memorable way. It may be a little Retro, but when I was in school, our Active Shooter drills were only with a round ball on the basketball court. You know the type of player. One minute they’re there, next they’re dropping a fade away jumper under pressure. How did they move like that? Swish!

“Mono no aware” is a Japanese idiom from the Heian period. It is an awareness of the impermanence of things, a reality of all things in this world. My inspiration for this work is from a story I read about the Samurai Minamoto Yoshitsune. The Koi in this design were from a long stalled work in progress, so now the impermanence of one design is born into another.

I‘d rather find the Bluebird of Happiness some were in the middle. The Bluebird is known as a symbol of happiness in quite a few cultures. The color Blue represents contentment, peace, purity, innocence, and honesty. The Bluebird is also linked to many fortuitous omens, and this Bluebird wants some forward progress to make the world a better (happier) place. Some people think Progressive is a dirty word, but why would anyone not want to progress and move forward. Semper Deinceps – Numquam Retrorsum (Ever Forward – Never Backwards).
