Despite its relatively slender jaws, Dilophosaurus was one of the first big meat eaters. Some scientists believe Dilophosaurus was more of a scavenger than an active hunter. However, one theory suggests it may have spit an acidic venom which blinded and immobilized its prey , enabling Dilophosaurus to finish the attack easily. These "hooters" were indeed very fierce members of Jurassic Park.
Dilophosaurus is a genus of theropod dinosaurs that lived in what is now North America during the Early Jurassic. Known for its distinctive pair of crests on its head.
