Camden Town Bridge, London City, UK This iconic bridge in Camden Town really caught my eye and lets you know exactly where you are in London City. Camden Town is famed for its market, a warren of fashion and curiosities by the Regent’s Canal. A haven of counter culture, the area is popular with tourists, teenagers and punks. The thriving nightlife scene includes live music in alternative clubs and old-school pubs, and major stars playing at the Jazz Cafe and the Roundhouse. Cafes bustle during the day. Mean Machine, Blue Car In Havana The front end, bumper or fender depending on where you live, really does look very moody and mean. If it could talk I'm sure it would have told me off for taking it's photo. American cars were imported into Cuba for about 50 years, beginning near the early 20th century. After the Cuban Revolution, the U.S. embargo was erected and Castro banned the importation of American cars and mechanical parts. That's why Cuba is the way it is today—essentially a living museum for classic cars. Straw Field, Lincolnshire Wolds This stunning dramatic cloudy blue sky really offsets against the golden hues of the wheat field. Huge bails of straw remain from this wheat field at harvest time on the Lincolnshire Wolds. A Break In The Weather As a fisherman, you do not want stormy weather out in your little boat battling the waves, so seeing the clouds clear often means a great days fishing ahead. These boats were bobbing about in Solva harbour, Wales, UK Solva is a harbour village on St Brides bay, Pembrokeshire. Nestled in the Pembrokeshire National Park, a few miles from St David’s, it boasts a bustling quay with plenty to do and a charming little village to wander around. Raindrops On A Daisy I'm pretty sure that this captivating flower photograph is of a oxeye daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare. I took this after a long spell of rain, as you can see the small droplets of water are clearly visible on the petals of this little flower. What's considered a vigorous plant in one garden is considered a weed in another, and that's true for the oxeye daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare. It's a native flower in Europe, where the spreading nature and drought tolerance of the plants make them pasture pests. These short-lived perennials are discouraged in a dozen continental states because they're considered invasive. However, in tamer settings, oxeye daisies are welcome for their three-month bloom time. Life In The Fast Lane I don't normally like to have to carry a tripod around with me especially when I am on holiday and it's a bit unfair on my wife having to wait while I set everything up for the perfect shot. I actually went against what I just said and took my best tripod to Hong Kong as I knew there would be a lot of opportunities for night shots. St Michael's Mount Cornwall Dramatic Sunset St Michael's Mount, accessed by the Cornish town of Marazion by a man-made causeway of granite setts which are passable at low tide. The castle on St Michael's Mount was a Benedictine Priory which did have religious links with Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, France. This gem of a landmark is a must see on any visit to Cornwall and well worth getting your feet wet when you take notice if the tide times on the boards on the way in only to see the water covering the stones as you race back to the shore.
