Been playing with the patterns and colours that I love.

This pattern in shades of blue, jade & mint green, pink & purple was inspired by a beautiful pair of Art Deco earrings that I saw recently.

This is a third colour version. The individual elements that make up this pattern were hand drawn with felt tip markers, scanned and then composed into a repeat pattern in Photoshop. It is kind of like completing a puzzle with infinite outcomes... so much fun.

It gets brighter and sunnier with every day over here in the Southern hemisphere. In the mood for some summer. : ) Hand drawn with ink pen and coloured in Photoshop.

I have always loved patterns of all sorts and fabric design... lately I finally got my act together to figure out how to make my own patterns, I am having a lot of fun. Next step - to get them onto some fabric somewhere... : )

I began this with a black ink pen and a piece of paper. Getting to this end result was a lovely, two day long journey of playing with colours and possibilities. I just want to play with colour and pattern for a while. (Of course, that is what I always do, but sometimes I feel I end up taking myself too seriously.... this is me, just enjoying pink. I think it is important to enjoy pink from time to time.) ☺
