White Fatalis is strikingly different in appearance from its relatives. It is covered in luminous white scales, and a line of fur runs down its back and tail. Kirin resembles a unicorn, though a closer look reveals that it has a lion-like face and is covered in scales, rather than a coat. Its majestic white mane and hair stand on end, as if charged with static. The monster often crackles with stray electricity. Kirin can summon lightning to strike attackers or the area around it. When the Kirin is threatened or provoked, it can wreath itself in lightning, which is proven to harden its hide. Kirin has very few physical attacks and relies mostly on lightning strikes as its main force of attacking foes. Thunder Emperor Kirin body structure and overall look is similar to the one of a normal Kirin. Thunder Lord Kirin is bigger than its counterpart. Velkhana is a traditional dragon with the slim, upright body structure of Elder Dragons like Kushala Daora. Its scales and shell are a unique crystalline blue. Its head has a tiara-like crown of small horns. It summons ice to cover its wings, limbs, and tail. Its thin, lance-like tail is highly flexible and can jab at enemies. Velkhana can control cold using its ore-infused scales, and can use this in a variety of ways. It primarily attacks foes by breathing supercooled fluid that will flash-freeze on impact, which also allows it to create walls and exploding spikes of ice. Unlike the ordinary Kirin, this subspecies' body is mainly a dark navy blue, with violet stripes throughout. Its mane is black with light purple tips and its eyes are a luminous red. In addition, its horn is larger, has pink-ish color and features a spiraling ridge from base to tip. Oroshi Kirin is even more aggressive than its standard cousin. It is able to summon ice shards to defend itself rather than the lighting strikes employed by its standard cousin.

Rathalos are large, bipedal wyverns with a spiny, armored hide covering their body. Their outer shell features much brighter and more vibrant colors than that of their female counterpart, the Rathian. It is primarily bright red, with black markings throughout. Like the Rathian, Rathalos possess a flame sac which is used to produce deadly flaming projectiles from the mouth. The talons upon their feet are highly poisonous and are known to inflict toxic mortal wounds on larger prey. In addition, their long, thick tail features a heavy spiked club at the end. Rathalos' wing membranes feature ornate patterns which are likely used to attract potential mates.

Its body is covered in wounds resembling burns, which have a bright orange glow upon entering its Risen state. This version of Kushala Daora has overcome being afflicted by the Qurio and has become more powerful as a result. It gains more wind based attacks including being able to fire larger blasts of wind by swiping its claws and creating a giant explosion using wind.

Risen Teostra's appearance is noticeably different from a standard Teostra, with most of its body darkened with the hair on its mane and tail appearing more orange and yellow, or even white. Its body is covered in wounds resembling burns, which have a bright orange glow upon entering its Risen state. This version of Teostra has overcome being afflicted by the Qurio and has become more powerful as a result. It gains more fire attacks including the ability to breathe multiple streams of fire at targets along with being able to create a more devastating fiery explosion which sends fire balls out from it.

Great Baggi eyes will glow yellow in the dark. Great Baggi are matured male Baggi that have taken over a pack of their own. Great Baggi is also slightly larger than the Great Jaggi. It has developed its own unique ability; it can spit a tranquilizing liquid that inflicts sleep on its prey or hunters. It also has developed the ability to command Baggi to surround prey or hunters and spit tranquilizing liquid at them with a roar. Located on its head is a crest that can be obtained in a way similar to Great Jaggi's frill.

Tigrex is a large, quadrupedal wyvern characterized by its massive head and jaws, powerful limbs and striking yellow/blue striped coloration. The top of its head is tipped with a pair of horn-like ears, and its segmented tail ends with a spiny protrusion. As a quadrupedal wyvern, its wings have evolved into forelegs, which allows it to run at very fast speeds. Though it possesses a pair of adequately-developed wings, it is rarely seen flying in a traditional sense. It is in fact more prone to gliding from location to location. It is covered in a series of red armor plates, which are segmented around the midsection and allow the Volvidon to curl into a ball. It possesses an extremely long, chameleon-like tongue which is covered in sticky saliva. It is capable of spitting out a paralyzing liquid and inflicts Soiling using a foul odor. Being a Fanged Beast, the Volvidon uses attacks similar to those of Arzuros and Lagombi. It is known to pull prey and foes toward its mouth using its long tongue. Great Izuchi is covered in short orange fur throughout the body with some patches of white fur on the head, base of the neck, back, and tail. Under the fur is cream-colored scales that become dark indigo toward the arms and legs. It has a long and slender snout, with cobra-like fangs on the top and bottom jaw, and orange eyes with very narrow pupils. Its underbelly is clad in large gray plating with smaller plating lining the back. The arms have three digits with the middle finger elongated, becoming hook-like.
