From that point on, Mickey operated as Mighty Mite 24/7. He remained supernaturally lucky but, to his credit, he tried his best to rise to his reputation and actually put some effort into crime-fighting.

Blue, a gentleman thief, is initially successful in his crimes but always driven off by the clever and tough O’Dare, who will go undercover at a fashion show if necessary to catch the Baron.

The Ermine was a mysterious frontiersmen who wore a referable outfit made from the brown summer coat of the ermine on one side and the white winter coat on the other. It allowed for him to blend in to trees and snow. He would help settlers by protecting them from hostile tribes. The Ermine was a skilled tracker, was friends with all the forest creatures, and carried a large knife.

Jim Brant was a private investigator who operated in New York City. He used a suit of transparent cellulose to fight crime as the Voice, the Invisible Detective. The suit, which was invented by Professor Bert Wilson, granted its wearer invisibility for 24 hours after it was treated with sigma rays.

Captain Atom was a scientist-adventurer who used gadgets to investigate the unknown and fight various menaces. His gadgets and vehicles included a uranium amplifier, a spectroscope, an atom submarine, a walkie-talkie television, atom powered noiseless ram rocket, and an auto-gyro parachute. The stories he appeared in were written to teach kids lessons about science (as it was understood at the time of publication).

Newspaper photographer "Lens" Crockett stumbled on a case and got beaten up by the crooks. Vowing revenge, he found a fancy dress costume in the newspaper office stock room and used it to fight crime as the Night Bird. He had no powers but he had a good right hook.

The Sorceress of Zoom was the ruler of the magical cloud city of Zoom. The city could appear, disappear and travel through the sky at her whim. Her subjects, within the city, were monsters magically created by her from the remains of those who were killed in her raids on earthbound cities. Her ultimate goal was world domination. Captain Flight was a heroic freelance adventurer and American pilot who fought the Axis during WWII. Later, the Captain becomes a member of the Doom Squad, a group of aviators who pilot planes with cutting-edge technology.

Pat Parker, also known as War Nurse, formed an all-girl team known as the Girl Commandos. The original members included Pat Parker in her War Nurse identity, Ellen Billings, Pat's friend, Tanya, an "official Soviet photographer", and Penelope "Penny" Kirt, an American radio reporter. Mei-Ling, a Chinese woman, joined the team during their first adventure in order to avenge her family's death at the hands of the Japanese army. After their first adventure, Pat Parker dropped her War Nurse identity and began adventuring under her real name.

Space pilot Vince Darrow overhears another pilot mention the Asteroid Witch, whom he described as the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Deciding he needed to find her for himself, Vince goes to the rocketport and steals a space liner. The Interplanetary Patrol goes after him. Vince comes to his senses and plans to turn himself in. The villainess Asteroid Witch shows up, and bewitches him to continue on to meet her. Vince crashes into an asteroid. He gets out of the wreckage and continues his search. He is entirely enthralled and about to kiss her when the voice of Kit-E, a Martian maiden stops him. Kit-E has her "atom-blast pistol" trained on the witch. She sends the Asteroid Witch to another dimension.

Tony Trent, a newscaster for the radio station WBSC, witnesses a murder committed by gangsters disguised as cops. Consequently he decides to fight crime. Having no innate superpowers, he instead uses a mask to scare criminals. Trent would use his position to learn of crimes and catch those behind them as The Face!

Wishing to put their considerable skills to good use, the Brandon triplets - Richard, Barton, and Bruce - decided to don costumes and fight evil around the world as Chemix, Lectra, and Menta, the Triple Terror. In early adventures, they usually fought to prevent dangerous new technologies from falling into enemy hands, sometimes at the request of the US Government. In later adventures, they joined the Army and fought in both the European and Pacific Theaters of World War II.

The Duke of Darkness was Paddy Sullivan, a police officer from an unnamed American city. When he died in the line of duty, it was discovered that he continued to exist as an "Earth-bound spirit." He decided to continue fighting crime as the Duke of Darkness. His powers include intangibility, flight, super strength, and the ability to perceive and battle ghosts and demons.

The Blue Streak was called a "Defender of the People" and the "self-appointed foe of ruthless dictators." His sidekick was his chauffeur and friend, Tago. Blue Streak had no superpowers but was a skilled fighter and wore a bulletproof vest under his costume.

Beau Brummell was a wealthy business man and detective. When he discovered that Cynthia Simbel, the new owner of the department store he owned stock in, was in danger of harm from disgruntled former employee, Mr. Gimmick. Gimmick attempts to destroy the store by using fake store Santas, sabotaging the Christmas parade, and having his men disguise themselves as mannequins. Beau Brummell is able to see through these ruses and save the store. Brummell had no powers, but was a skilled detective.

John Doyle was a lawyer framed by crooked politicians and then sent to jail for crimes he didn't commit. He manages to break out by taking the keys off a security guard he knocks out. Once out of jail, he clears his name and then then keeps the his prison uniform as his superhero costume and decides to continue fighting crime as the Zebra. While he has no powers, the Zebra is skilled in combat. The Zebra fought villains such as Dr. Diabole, Ego, Bale, the Rattler, the Human Frog, and Dr. Anteater.

The Bouncer was originally a statue of the Greek mythology figure Antaeus created by a sculptor named Adam Anteas Jr. The artist was a descendant of Antaeus. The statue however was not normal. In fact whenever danger was near, it came to life. The living statue gave Adam superpowers of super strength and leaping, which it also possessed. Like the mythical Antaeus, Adam and the statue are both vulnerable in mid-bounce.
