Armed with a sketchbook and pens, I recently challenged myself to complete the 3000km Tour Aotearoa, sketching all 30 of the official photo checkpoints. The image is drawn with koru designs, The koru (Māori for "loop") is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace.

This design was inspired by the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) roundel with the Maori name for New Zealand, Aotearoa. The kiwi is always a great representation of the beautiful country of Aotearoa.
