The Pittsburgh Condors were a professional basketball team in the original American Basketball Association from 1971-72. Originally called the Pittsburgh Pipers, they were a charter franchise of the ABA and captured the first league title. The team played their home games in Pittsburgh's Civic Arena.U.S. Condors" staggered to the end of the 1971-72 season with a 25-59 record, the league had finally seen enough. The ABA finally folded the franchise and held a special dispersal draft for those Condors players who were still under contract.
The El Paso Diablos of El Paso, Texas, was a team identity that existed in the Texas League for thirty-one seasons, from 1974 to 2013. Over that time period, they served as the Double-A affiliate of three MLB teams: the California Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The New York Generals were an American professional soccer team based out of New York City that competed in the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) in 1967 and the North American Soccer League (NASL) in 1968.
Founded as charter members of the NPSL, the team played their home games at Yankee Stadium. Following the NPSL's merger with the United Soccer Association to form the NASL in 1968, the Generals became the sole professional soccer team in New York City. The Generals played one season in the NASL before folding after the 1968 season. The New York Cosmos, founded in 1970, would take the Generals place as New York City's professional soccer team and shared both the Generals' colors and home stadium.
The New York Yankees were founded in 1946 as a member of the AAFC along with the Cleveland Browns and the San Fransisco 49ers. They played in the first two AAFC Championship games against the Browns.

The Los Angeles Dons were an American football team in the newly formed football league the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) from 1946 to 1949, and played their home games in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Dons were the first professional football team to play a regular season game in Los Angeles, California, two weeks before the first game of the rival Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League, who had moved from Cleveland.

The Austin Ice Bats were a professional minor league ice hockey team based in Austin, Texas, from 1996 to 2008. The were originally members of the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL) and later the Central Hockey League (CHL). The team was named for the Mexican free-tailed bats (Tadarida brasiliensis) that nest under the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge in the city.

It was established following the collapse of the original United Football League, and hoped to become the major force in professional football outside the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL). It owed its name, at least in part, to the Continental League, a proposed third Major League Baseball organization that influenced MLB significantly, although they never played a game.

The Washington Commandos were an arena football team based in Fairfax, Virginia. The Commandos were founded in 1987 and were an inaugural member of the Arena Football League (AFL), and were based in Landover, Maryland. After not playing during the 1988 season, the team returned for the 1989 season as the Maryland Commandos. Following the 1989 season, the Commandos moved to Fairfax, Virginia, where they once again became known as the Washington Commandos.
The Gladiators were one of four charter teams created to showcase the Arena Football League's inaugural season in 1987. The team played every season from 1987 to 1990, making it to ArenaBowls I and III, before relocating to Tampa Bay, Florida, where they became the Storm.

The Los Angeles Cobras were an expansion franchise that entered the Arena Football League for the start-up’s second year of operations in the summer of 1988. The Cobras debuted on April 30, 1988 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. An announced crowd of 10,157 watch the Cobras lose to the New York Knights 60-52. Los Angeles finished the season with a 5-6-1 record, which was just good enough to slip into the playoffs. They lost to the Chicago Bruisers in the semi-final round on July 23, 1988. This would prove to be the franchise’s final game.
The Anaheim Piranhas were a professional arena football team that played in the Arena Football League from 1994 to 1997. They played their home games at Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California. The team was originally known as the Las Vegas Sting, prior to moving to Anaheim in 1996. The team was owned by future Arena Football League commissioner C. David Baker.

The original Milwaukee Mustangs is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. They entered the league in 1994 and played until just after the turn of the century, 2001. The team's name would be revived roughly ten years later after a fan vote in 2011 changed the name of the 2009-10 Milwaukee Iron into the Milwaukee Mustangs, a team that would play until the 2012 season. The 1994 Milwaukee Mustangs are one of only six teams in AFL history to go winless in the regular season.

The Albany Firebirds were a professional arena football team of the AF2 based in Albany, New York. Albany was granted an expansion team in 2002 and began play as the Albany Conquest. The Firebirds played their home games at the Times Union Center. They are the second arena football team for Albany, as the city was granted an expansion team, the Albany Firebirds, in the Arena Football League in 1990. The team moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2000 and played as the Indiana Firebirds through 2004 before disbanding.
Then the city of Albany ventured into the world of arena football again, this time joining the AF2 in 2002, creating a new franchise by the name the Albany Conquest.

Wings, but shortly before the 1992 season started L.A. was scrapped and the team was shipped to Sacramento. After one season the team was moved to Miami, Florida, to form the Miami Hooters.
