Sleeping Beauty is a classic fairy tale which involves a beautiful princess, enchantment and a handsome prince. It is the first in the set published in 1697 by Charles Perrault (1628–1703). This vintage illustration depicts the classic fairy tale scene of Prince Charming leaning over Sleeping Beauty as she lies asleep in her canopy bed. The prince is about to kiss her awake so they can get married and live happily ever after. Sleeping Beauty is wearing a crown or tiara and is surrounded by pink flowers and roses.
