Anyone remember landlines? Anyone?...Bueller?

Remember when you were forced to leave your phone at home—because it was attached to your house? Or when your crush called, but your older brother got to the phone first and revealed your secret? Or when you knew you hit true best friend status—memorizing their number? Celebrated on the anniversary of Alexander Graham Bell’s amazing invention, National Landline Telephone Day on March 10 remembers the heyday of the landline phone in all its glory—and makes a strong case for its re-adoption.

In a time before 5g, 4g or cell phones altogether, there were landlines that tethered us to a wall, night stand or some other flat surface to place/mount your telephone to. Most of the time, when you called someone if you didn't instantly recognized the person that answered your call or vice versa, you would have to ask to speak to that person and the voice on the other end might say something like "may I ask who is calling?" All brought to each dwelling by the statuesque, telephone pole.

Landline 90s Retro

Remember rotary phones? Probably not. But it wasn't that long ago that the rotary telephone was a household staple. It hurts me to call this design retro, but alas, this retro telephone design is cute and reminiscent of a bygone era, sure to please either for its vintage appeal or through fond, nostalgic memories.

Back in the day, we had rotary phones with long cords that tangled up. Our parents said, stop yaking on the phone and dont talk back to me. LOL! 1960s to 1970s vibe.
