Can’t Stop the Music 1980 Tapestry

In this fictional account of one of the gayest musical acts in history, fashion model Samantha Simpson helps her roommate, Jack Morrell, try to get a record deal. Morrell's demo isn't great, so Simpson searches New York for a proper group to sing the songs and finds a group made up of a police officer, a cowboy, a construction worker, a soldier, an Indian, and a biker. They are primed for success, but complications arise when advertisers grow wary of their 'tough guy' image that somehow has women everywhere swooning. Absurdity aside, this is a disco-focused comedy musical that for some reason was slated for release well after the disco craze had started to fizzle out, so just based on that, you can imagine how well it did at the box office.
