S-Mart was the department store that Ash and Linda worked at. Its slogan is: "Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart." S-Mart only appeared on film in the third installment of the Evil Dead trilogy, Army of Darkness, but it went on to become a major setting for the Army of Darkness comic books based of the Army of Darkness film published from 2004 to 2013. In the comics, it is shown that S-Mart is owned and managed by Mr. Smart, a large elderly man with thick glasses and a handlebar mustache.

Due to the show's popularity, Los Pollos Hermanos has appeared on numerous occasions and locations as a real-life pop-up restaurant.
