Okay, so we can all agree that Tamlin sucks, right? But even a villain can have some good advice. When Tamlin shows Feyre his parents’ rose garden, in A Court of Thorns and Roses, he confronts her about what’s bothering her. He’s recently given her supplies to resume her favorite hobby: painting. It’s thrilled her, but she feels guilty about enjoying this passion when she still worries that her family could be suffering back home (even though she’s been told they’re being taken care of). He kisses her hands to heal the wounds left by a rose, and tells her, “Don’t feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy.”
