The Colorado and Southern Railway was an American Class I railroad in the western United States that operated independently from 1898 to 1908, then as part of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad until it was absorbed into the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1981.

It was built in 1829 and was the most advanced steam locomotive at the time, bringing together several innovations that made it stand out at the Rainhill Trials. Rocket is therefore famous as it it took a big leap forward with locomotive technology. If someone see you with this design, you'll be able to tell them all about it when they inevitably tell you that they recognise 'Rocket' as the first steam locomotive ever built (which was incidentally built by Richard Trevithick in the early 1800s).

I have always been fascinated by the intricate details and mechanisms of trains. There's something so mesmerizing about watching them speed along the tracks, their wheels churning and smoke billowing out of their chimneys. As a child, I would spend hours setting up tracks and arranging my collection of trains, creating intricate routes and scenarios for them to follow. Even now, as an adult, I find myself drawn to this hobby as a way to unwind and escape from the stresses of everyday life. There's just something so peaceful about sitting back and watching the trains go by, lost in the rhythmic chugging of the locomotives and the gentle swaying of the cars. For me, playing with trains is not just a hobby - it's a way to connect with the past
