Slater Bridge located in Little Langdale in the English Lake District. This is an ancient handmade bridge that spans the River Brathay as it flows from Little Langdale Tarn to Elterwater. Taken using Canon 5D Mk3 and 16-35 L lens.

The 17th Century Bridge House over Stock Ghyll (a tributary of the River Rothay) is one of the most photographed scenes in Lakeland, and is now a shop and information centre for the National Trust. Hard to believe that a family with 6 kids used to live there. Ambleside, a lovely little town, with oodles of charm, has become a major tourist resort in the Lake District of England. Located in South Lakeland, Blea Tarn is one of 2 tarns located in the Langdale Valley. Blea Tarn can be found in a hanging valley located between Little Lanngdale and Greater Langdale.

Tarn Hows, located close to Coniston, Hawkshead and Ambleside in the Lake District of England. Surrounded by wonderful hills, including The Old Man of Consiton. A stunningly beautiful area, with superb walking areas. Canon 5D Mk3 16-34 L lens.

Sheila’s Cottage is one of the oldest restaurants in Ambleside in the Lake District National Park, Cumbria, England. Like most of the buildings in the village, it is constructed from local slate. Sheila’s Cottage is tucked away down a narrow lane called The Slack in the centre of the village. I uploaded this image months ago. I always liked the shot, but it was ruined by the washed out sky. I thought I might try to improve the shot by adding a sky. I hope you like the effect.

This delightful little tearoom by the bank of the river Rothay can be found in Grasmere in the Lake District of England. The celebrated poet, William Wordsworth, is buried in the churchyard of St Oswald’s Church in Grasmere, now one of the most visited literary shrines in the world. Above Ullswater on Place Fell, a stunning view of Hartsop and Brotherswater can been seen through the morning storm. The cloud and mist was being whipped by strong winds, snow beginning to fall and the sun was breaking through in intermittent bursts. Calm still misty morning on the western shore on Windermere near High Wray Bay.

Eel Tarn is located in the Eskdale Valley, above the little village of Boot. A wonderfully picturesque tarn, a place that has inspired artists. Stand on Great Barrow, looking across the tarn and the view of Whin Crag, Goat Crag and Whinscales are clearly visible. Turn your head north towards Wastwater and the mighty Scafell range comes into view. Walk from Boot, along the Coffin Route to the base of Scafell at Wasdale Head. Canon Eos 5d Mk3 24-105 L Lens.

A beautiful calm day at Derwentwater afforded the opportunity to pick up some lovely reflections of the Skiddaw mountain range reflected the the still waters.

Sunset captured at Slater Bridge. Slater Bridge is a traditional packhorse bridge located in Little Langdale in the stunning English Lake District. The bridge connects the hamlet of Little Langdale with the many slate quarries in the Tiberthwaite area, including Cathedral and Hodge Close Quarry.

A lovely resting spot on the ascent to Place Fell from the village of Patterdale. No doubt this seat receives regular attention from walkers who want a quick break from the initial steep ascent, or those simply wanting to admire the fantastic views of the area. Canon 5d MK2 24-05 L-series lens

Stockley Bridge is an old packhorse bridge over Grains Gill in The Borrowdale Valley of The Lake District. Built is the 18th Century, originally of slate, it was a favourite subject for artists to sketch. It was washed away in 1966 and re-built with a larger span.
